Our mission is to make plant-based foods and beverages tastier, fun, more mainstream and better for the environment than the products of the generation before us.
A world where more and more consumers can choose products that are Happier for them – and by making this choice, also Happier for the environment.
Meet Lloyd (Coffee and Plant Based Foods Entrepreneur)
"We should never underestimate on an individual level how we can contribute to making change."
We need to talk about a better way of feeding ourselves.
Agriculture accounts for 40% of global land use, 30% of greenhouse gas emissions & 70% of freshwater use.
Industrial livestock farming contributes to 21% of GHG emissions, and 37% of methane emissions.
But we can change this. As consumers we have the choice to change the world we live in, by voting with our dollars, pounds, euro or yen… one purchase at a time.
Moving away from consuming animal products is critical for the environment.
The food system we have built over the last century is a dead end for the future.
This is the first generation to truly see the impact that our consumption as a whole is having on the environment and the world that we live in.
My mission for Happy Happy Foods is to make plant-based food and beverages tastier, fun, more mainstream, and better for the environment than the products of the generation before us.
We should never underestimate on an individual level how we can contribute to making change.
I welcome you to join us on our Happy Happy journey.
Meet John (Food Technologist. Engineer)
“For a product to truly benefit the environment it must be nutritionally as good as, or better than, the product it is replacing. Nutritionally, Environmentally, Happier.”
To Be Environmentally Superior.
For a product to truly benefit the environment it must be nutritionally as good as, or better than, the product it is replacing. We call it better better… or Happy Happy!
Our mission for Happy happy Foods has never changed; every day we work hard to deliver plant-based beverages & food that have reduced greenhouse gas emissions, land and water use, while still delivering significant nutritional values.
In 2018, Oxford University’s J. Poore and T. Nemecek highlighted the environmental benefits of switching to soy-based foods in their paper “Reducing food’s environmental impacts through producers and consumers”.
This study isn’t the only one to prove that soy milk and soy-based products deliver the least environmental impact per gram of protein compared to the other major milk and meat categories, including almond and oat milks.
Our first product, Happy Happy Soy Boy was created for dairy drinkers. It was critical, and we have gone the extra mile, to ensure that we have created a smooth, creamy milk that would taste and perform at least as well as high quality dairy milk.
Further, it had to enhance the flavour of espresso, and be a truly superior plant-based milk in its own right.
I’m so excited to share this brilliant product with you.
So why soy milk? Put simply, soy milk allowed us to deliver the biggest protein punch – the most important of macronutrients in this category – per unit of environmental impact.
This has been key to us in reaching the environmental goals and impact that we hope are possible.
As a reformed and reduced meat eater and dairy drinker, I feel confident that the products we are creating at Happy Happy Foods can be a safe and delicious choice for those wanting to make climate smart eating habits.
